Police are investigating after a man was robbed at an Elizabeth South shopping centre.
Just before 4.20pm on Wednesday 9 September, patrols were called to the shopping centre on Philip Highway following reports of an assault.
The victim had withdrawn cash from an ATM and was walking through the centre with his scooter when he was approached by two unknown teenage boys.
The youths demanded the victim hand over his scooter and wallet before assaulting him and dragging him to the ground. The suspects then stole the victim’s wallet containing cash, bank cards and a Centrelink card before fleeing the area.
The man in his 60’s was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital for assessment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Northern District detectives are investigating and urge witnesses to come forward.
The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 16 years old, tall with a slim build, black hair and wearing a grey jumper and black trackpants.
The second suspect is described as a Caucasian male, about 15 years old, with a slim build, black hair and wearing a grey jumper and grey trackpants.
