A crime scene has been established following a stabbing at Alexandria this afternoon.
About 2pm (Tuesday 5 November 2019), emergency services attended Bourke Street, near Doody Street, following reports that a man had been stabbed.
A man was treated for multiple stab wounds and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and remains in a serious condition.
Another man was arrested at the scene and has been taken to Mascot Police Station, He is currently assisting with inquiries.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and anyone who witnessed or has information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
