A man is in serious condition following an alleged home invasion in Sydney’s south west overnight.
Just before 2am today (Saturday 6 June 2026) emergency services were called to Banksia Avenue, Greenacre, following reports four men – armed with bladed weapons – had forced entry into a home, assaulted a 23-year-old man and demanded cash before leaving in a dark-coloured SUV.
On arrival, police located the 23-year-old with severe injuries to his left arm; he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Four other occupants of the home – a man and woman in their 40s and two males aged 16 and 19 – were not injured.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.
