Man seriously injured in crash in Manly

A man is in a serious condition after a crash overnight on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

About 11.15pm yesterday (Monday 1 November 2022), emergency services responded to reports of an e-scooter colliding with a parked vehicle at the intersection of Carlton Street and Smith Lane, Manly.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the occupants of the e-scooter – a 41-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman – at the scene for facial injuries.

Both were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.

The man is in a serious but stable condition with the woman listed as stable.

Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police.

It is not known at this stage whether if it was the man or woman riding the e-scooter. Neither were wearing helmets.
