An investigation is underway following a stabbing at Matraville this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Anzac Parade about 4pm (Saturday 23 March 2019) where they found a man with stab wounds to his back.
Police have been told the man was stabbed by another man, who then fled the scene.
The man, believed to be aged in his 50s, is being taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.
An investigation into the incident is underway and any witnesses are urged to come forward.
