Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews have contained a bushfire burning in the vicinity of Sabin Road East, Sabin Road West and Malone Road, Mareeba. Crews will continue to monitor the blaze overnight, which is burning under control and within containment lines. Smoke will continue to affect the area. Nearby residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution.
