- WA EV Network expands to Margaret River with new fast charger
- Site features a 150kW fast charger that can fully charge an EV in 20 minutes
- Location marks 29th addition to the charging network
Margaret River has become the latest stop along the WA EV Network with the town now a part of what is set to be the world’s longest EV (electric vehicle) charging network.
The site, located on Wallcliffe Road, features a 150kW fast charger that fully charge an EV in about 20 minutes alongside a back-up 75kW charger.
The charger will complete a key WA EV Network corridor connecting Margaret River to Jerramungup.
There are now 29 EV sites completed along the network with a 30th charger due to open in Bunbury next month.
The network is expected to be substantially completed mid-2024.
When complete, it will feature 49 EV charging sites, averaging less than 200 kilometres apart.

As stated by Climate Action and Energy Minister Reece Whitby:
