The Dubbo Art Fair is set to showcase emerging regional artists again this year at the Western Plains Cultural Centre from 9 – 11 October 2026.
Consistently attracting over 1,800 visitors to the event each year, the Dubbo Art Fair provides an opportunity for local artists to sell their artworks to the community.
Now in it’s sixth year, the event will feature over 30 local artists from the Dubbo region’s thriving creative sector.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Josh Black said, this year the number of artists on show is slightly reduced due to the Yayoi Kusama installation. However, it is still a wonderful event whereby the community can support and purchase a local artwork whilst also viewing an internationally renowned artist’s work.
Dubbo Art Fair is a great platform for regional artists to gain exposure for their work and interact with the community to give people insight into their creative process. For many local artists it is the first opportunity to showcase their art in a public setting.
“This event offers the community the chance to own an original artwork created by artists from our region while supporting local creative talent,” Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Josh Black said.
“The Dubbo Art Fair is a major contributor to the local economy whist helping to supports and showcase our creative sector. Last year artists collectively sold over $63,000 worth of art at the Dubbo Art Fair. This amount that continues to grow year on year and is going directly back into our region,” Clr Black said.
The official opening for the Dubbo Art Fair will take place on Friday 9 October at 6pm. Tickets are $20 and can be booked via 123tix.
The event will be open to the community from 9am – 4pm on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2026. Admission is free.
