Meli announced as Poa Banyul Community Hub management provider

The City of Greater Geelong has welcomed Meli to manage the recently completed Poa Banyul Community Hub in Mount Duneed.

The formation of Meli follows the recent merger of two leading not-for-profit organisations in the Geelong region, the Bethany Group and Barwon Child, Youth and Family (BCYF).

The facility at 110-122 Unity Drive in Mount Duneed is currently at commissioning and handover stage.

Along with providing Meli kindergarten services, the hub will accommodate a range of early years and family services including maternal and child health, family support consulting rooms and flexible community spaces.

The hub has been made possible through $10.7 million in funding by Council, along with $2.25 million from the Victorian Government.

The facility will be handed over to Meli in May and kindergarten programs to commence in Term 3 on Monday 10 July2023.

Registrations are open now for children to attend the new kindergarten.

The new Poa Banyul Kindergarten will add to Meli’s existing network of 29 kindergartens that is dedicated to setting strong foundations for lifelong learning.
