Men seriously injured in targeted stabbing in Chippendale

Two men are seriously injured and at least two others are being sought, after a targeted stabbing at Chippendale this morning.

About 8.40am (Saturday 6 July 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Shepherd Street, Chippendale, following reports of a stabbing.

Two men, aged 20 and the other believed to be in his mid-twenties, were treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Police have been told the younger man is in a serious but stable condition, while the older man is in a critical condition.

Police understand the stabbing was targeted and relates to a personal issue between the parties – all of whom are known to each other.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command are seeking at least two males who were last seen running along Daniels Street towards Buckland Street around 8.30am.

Both were last seen wearing dark hooded tops.
