Michael Hnyda retires as Chief Executive of DTTI

Premier Steven Marshall has thanked Mr Michael Hnyda for his service as Chief Executive of the Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment (DTTI), following Mr Hnyda announcing his retirement at the end of his contract in March.

“Mr Hnyda has served in this important role with distinction and on behalf of the State Government I’d like to thank him for his efforts in attracting greater investment to South Australia, and we wish him all the best in retirement,” said Premier Marshall.

“Under Michael’s stewardship, we’ve seen many investments made by businesses into South Australia, which has seen a great many jobs flow from these investments.

“It’s been a pleasure for myself and my government to work with Michael, and we all wish him well in his retirement.”

Mr Hnyda thanked the Premier and the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment David Ridgway for the opportunity to be the Chief Executive of the new DTTI.

“It has been an honour and privilege to represent and promote South Australia,” said Mr Hnyda.

“I have enjoyed every minute of the role and I am so proud to have brought projects such as Technicolor, Sonnen, Boeing, Datacom and Veroguard to invest here.”

The Chief Executive of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, Mr Jim McDowell, will oversee DTTI from Mr Hnyda’s departure until a new Chief Executive is appointed.
