Mildura armed robbery arrest

Police have arrested a man following an armed robbery in Mildura this morning (16 December).

Police were called to a service station on Walnut Avenue at about 6.20am after reports two men with their faces covered entered the premises.

Investigators have been told one man had a metal pole and the second offender had a firearm.

At approximately 2.15pm the same males were involved in a petrol drive off in Buronga NSW and were subsequently involved in a pursuit in NSW.

The men fled in two vehicles and were involved in a pursuit with NSW Police and Victoria Police near the border before one man was arrested.

One man is currently in custody and is yet to be interviewed at this stage.

The outstanding stolen vehicle is a black Holden Cruze with registration 1FW3BL.

Anyone who sights this motor vehicle is requested to contact 000 immediately.

Investigators would also like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam footage.
