MinterEllison advises QIC on acquisition of Mambourin Marketplace

Mambourin Marketplace was acquired by QIC for its Everyday Retail Fund, strengthening the fund’s portfolio of convenience retail assets in key growth markets.

Developed by Frasers Property Australia and opened in 2025, the centre is anchored by Coles and includes a mix of specialty retailers and services, supporting one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing residential communities.

Commenting on the acquisition, MinterEllison Real Estate Partner Adrian Rich said:

Investors continue to be attracted to convenience retail assets that are underpinned by strong population growth, essential services and resilient income streams. The continued demand for neighbourhood shopping centres in growth corridors reflects the strength of the sector’s underlying fundamentals and the importance of non-discretionary retail to local communities.”

The MinterEllison team was led by Adrian Rich, supported by Amanda King (Senior Associate, Real Estate) and Oscar Higgins (Associate, Real Estate), together with teams from across Tax, Energy & Projects and Construction.

The transaction adds to MinterEllison’s extensive experience advising clients on convenience retail and other major property acquisitions across Australia.
