Monash – a centre of tennis excellence

A $21 million tennis complex comprising 18 International Tennis Federation (ITF) standard courts will be built in Glen Waverley at the site of the current Glen Waverley Golf Course driving range.

The new tennis centre is a State Government investment in tennis in Victoria, and will be delivered by Monash Council.

As well as the courts, the centre will include a new multi-sport pavilion, practice facilities for golf and upgrades to the car park and pedestrian paths.

A key part of the project will be a new intersection at the corner of Waverley Road and Jells Road to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on these roads. This will bring significant improvements to local traffic conditions and address concerns expressed by local residents as recently as a survey conducted in early 2020.

There will be an online community information session about this project this evening (17 December) from 6.30pm to 8pm.

Register online and a Zoom link will be emailed closer to the time of the session. Registrations close at 4pm today.
