Monash Council is partnering with the Victorian Government on two exciting kindergarten upgrade projects for Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten in Ashwood and Ward Avenue Kindergarten in Oakleigh South.

These projects strengthen our commitment to providing high-quality early childhood facilities for families in Monash, ensuring Monash children can get the best start to their early years.

Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten

We are extending and renovating Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten with a new 33-place kindergarten room to meet the needs of the local community, as well as improved amenities to help enhance children’s play and learning.

The Victorian Government is contributing $1.59 million to the project, with Council providing $1.91 million.

Ward Avenue Kindergarten, Oakleigh South

The upgrades to Ward Avenue Kindergarten will deliver a new building that includes two 33-place kindergarten rooms.

The modern new single-storey building will also provide natural outdoor learning environments, staff working spaces and amenities.
