Our Active Recreation Hub at Eco Park, Mount Martha is officially open!

Opened by Tom McIntosh MP on Thursday 23 November 2023, the occasion was also celebrated with Mayor Councillor Simon Brooks and Councillors Antonella Celi, Lisa Dixon, Despi O’Connor, Sarah Race and Kate Roper.

The Eco Park Active Hub was developed in partnership with the Victorian Government to deliver new play and recreation facilities in Mount Martha.

The community can now enjoy:

  • Skate and scooter bowl with pockets, hips, waterfalls, transfers and scooter loop
  • Refreshed combination play equipment
  • Scooter path
  • Swing set
  • All access carousel
  • Picnic tables
  • Mini trampolines
  • Disabled carparks.

Locals and visitors can enjoy a space that priorities trees with high biodiversity and habitat value, as well as footpaths and a boardwalk using recycled content. For those who have previously enjoyed the Eco Park, you can rest assured that the upgraded site retains sufficient car parking, significant vegetation and existing equipment that’s in good condition.

Shaped by community feedback in 2020, the final concept plan was endorsed on 25 August 2020. Construction ran from April-September 2023, followed by the official opening on 23 November 2023.
