The Carroll Labor Government supports Victoria’s veterans and honours the sacrifices and hardships they have endured.
Minister for Veterans Natalie Suleyman announced the recipients of this year’s Anzac Day Proceeds Fund and Victoria Remembers grants programs.
The programs help provide vital support to veterans and their families.
The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund will provide grants of up to $150,000 to 15 ex-service organisations across the state to help veterans stay connected and healthy.
Recipients include Path of the Horse in Trentham, which uses equine therapy to help veterans affected by mental health and isolation.
Through Victoria Remembers, 24 organisations will receive up to $30,000 to support commemorative events, new memorials and education projects including;
- Carry On (Victoria) to provide essential housing support to veterans and their families. This ensures they can access safety, stability and immediate assistance during times of crisis
- In Her Boots program delivers a trauma-informed wellbeing program to support female veterans as they rebuild confidence, connection, and purpose beyond military service.
- The Rotary Club of Boronia to support local Grade 5 and 6 primary school students to participate in services commemorating Australians who served in Gallipoli.
