We’re giving Victorian families more kinders where they’re needed.
Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn has announced the Victorian Government will invest an initial $4.5 million as part of a new Building Blocks Partnership with Maroondah City Council.
This will support the redevelopment and expansion of Croydon North Kindergarten, delivering up to 79 new kindergarten places.
The redevelopment will include two kindergarten rooms as well as three maternal and child health rooms.
This will allow the centre to deliver up to 118 kindergarten places for local families, ensuring that more children can access free Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten in Maroondah.
This is Labor’s 23rd Building Blocks Partnership, supporting 126 new and expanded kindergartens across the state.
Building Blocks Partnerships are creating thousands of new places where they are needed most.
Labor is investing billions to build and expand hundreds of kinders across the state.
This also supports the weekly delivery of 15 hours of free Three-Year-Old Kindergarten by 2029 and 30 hours of free Four-Year-Old Kindergarten by 2036.
