More permit applications move online to streamline processes

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government is bringing more applications into its online Can-do Territory portal to deliver improved accessibility and convenience for Territorians.

Can-do Territory is a transformation project to digitise applications to streamline processes and tracking mechanisms to save Territorians time.

In this suite of improvements, permits for hunting, the operation of food and coffee vans in parks and the landing of aircraft in parks, including drones, will all be brought online.

Hunters can also elect to receive their hunting card digitally and won’t have to wait for a physical card to arrive.

Digitising Government transactions is part of a broader Digital Transformation Plan that aims to enable efficient regulatory processes as a critical means of driving new investment towards a $40 billion economy by 2030.

The Digital Transformation Plan is an improvement-focused plan that will deliver efficiencies and time savings for businesses and individuals interacting with Government departments to make the Northern Territory the easiest place to do business.
