Kiama Council will move forward upgrades to three local streets thanks to new funding from the NSW Government.
Council has secured $305,000 from the government from its Fixing Local Roads program.
The funding means we can repair and reseal sections of Barney Street in Kiama as well as Meehan Drive and Johnson Street in Kiama Downs.
We have planned these upgrades for the 2022/23 financial year.
Securing this NSW Government funding means we can move on these projects this financial year.
This also allows us to reallocated some of our funds to other projects.
This approach is a key part of Council’s Long Term Financial Sustainability Plan.
Work on these projects is expected to commence in March.
