Communities across the Mid North Coast and Northern NSW are set to benefit from upgraded health facilities, following more than $1.7 million funding boost from the Minns Labor Government to deliver minor capital works projects.
This will deliver more than $700,000 for Northern NSW Local Health District and $1 million for Mid North Coast Local Health District as part of the Minns Government’s $12 million Regional Health Minor Works Program.
Delivered over two years, the program will support essential infrastructure upgrades and enhance health facilities across regional, rural and remote NSW, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of local communities and deliver high-quality care.
This investment will support the delivery of office and collaboration spaces at Coffs Harbour Health Campus.
It will also support the refurbishment and upgrades of critical assets at the Aruma Community Mental Health facility in Grafton.
The refurbishment will provide a more welcoming environment for patients and staff, with new floor coverings, ceilings, lights, as well as general maintenance and an upgrade to outdoor patient interview spaces and external waiting areas.
A new air conditioning system and ICT equipment will also be installed as part of the upgrade.
This project is expected to start in mid-2027.
This funding builds on the Minns Labor Government’s $11.9 billion investment to deliver 32 new or upgraded hospitals as part of the 2026-27 Budget. This includes nearly $3 billion over four years for hospitals across regional NSW.
