Morning Melodies are back at Griffith Regional Theatre

Griffith Regional Theatre is pleased to be starting their Morning Melodies program with a special performance for Seniors Week.

Perceptions of Love will be held on Tuesday 29 March, and as always, morning tea is included before the show.

Acting Manager of the Regional Theatre, Marg Andreazza, said “Our first Morning Melodies show of the year is one I’m sure everyone will enjoy. If you came to our Season Launch, you would have seen the amazing Zoe Yalouris perform a couple of songs for us, and we are pleased to be inviting her back to do her very own full-length show.”

“We first met Zoe last year as part of our Grass Roots competition, where she wowed the judges with her magnificent mezzo-soprano voice and dazzled us all with her beautiful songs. We were excited to learn we had another young and talented musician living in our region,” Ms Andreazza said.

Zoe, who has moved to the region from Sydney for work, has been performing from a young age, with her first principal role being Shprintze in Mosman Musical Society’s production of Fiddler on the Roof in 2008.

She has performed solos at various public community events including the Greek Festival of Sydney at Darling Harbour and other celebratory functions.

She joined Rockdale Opera Company (ROC) in 2015 and has performed as a member of the chorus in many performances, as well as principal roles including Vittoria in ROC’s 2017 production of The Gondoliers and Pitti-Sing in the 2019 production of The Mikado.

“Zoe will be sharing some popular opera tunes with us, as well as folk tunes, show tunes and also a bit of jazz – there will be a lot of variety in the show so there will be something for everyone to enjoy,” Mrs Andreazza said.

As a Seniors Week special, all tickets are only $10 and include morning tea from 10am, and the show from 11am. Tickets can be purchased online at www.griffithregionaltheatre.com.au or by calling the Box Office on 6962 8444 or drop in and see the team at the Theatre – open 10am-5pm Monday-Friday.
