Motorcyclist dies after Blair Athol crash

A motorcyclist has died in hospital from injuries sustained in a crash at Blair Athol on the weekend.

About 5pm on Saturday 23 September, emergency services responded to a single motorcycle crash on Main North Road, near Clifton Street, Blair Athol.

The motorcycle rider, a 20-year-old Thebarton man, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.

Sadly, he died in hospital yesterday, Tuesday 26 September.

Major Crash officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The young man is the 87th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year, and the 17th motorcycle fatality, compared to 55 at the same time last year.
