Motorcyclist dies after crash at Inverell, NSW

A man has died in a collision involving his motorcycle and an SUV at Inverell overnight.

Emergency services were called to Henderson Street about 7.30pm yesterday (Monday 6 December 2021), after the Nissan X-Train and black Honda motorcycle had collided at the intersection of Vivian Street.

A 21-year-old man riding the motorcycle, who was on a learner’s licence, suffered critical injuries. He was taken to Inverell Hospital where he died a short time later.

The female driver of the SUV has undergone mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and officers from New England Police District initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
