A motorcyclist has died after crashing while riding in a State Forest in the state’s Hunter Valley yesterday.
Emergency services were called to a fire trail in the Putty State Forest about 1pm (Thursday 23 July 2026), following reports a motorcycle had crashed on the track.
On arrival, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service found the rider – a 67-year-old man – had died at the scene.
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.
A report has been prepared for the information of the NSW Coroner.
