A motorcyclist has died following a crash in the state’s Illawarra region this morning.
About 3.30am (Sunday 7 March 2021), a motorcycle was travelling south on Lake Avenue, Cringila, when the rider failed to negotiate a bend, left the road, and crashed into a power pole.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Despite efforts to revive the male rider, he died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified, however, is believed to be aged in his 20s.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
