Motorcyclist seriously injured in Randwick crash

Inquiries are continuing after a motorcyclist was seriously injured following a collision with a car at Randwick.

About 3pm on Sunday (1 September 2019), a Toyota Aurion was turning right from a driveway onto King Street when it collided with the motorcycle, that was travelling east.

The 63-year-old male rider sustained a severely injured foot. He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment.

He remains in a stable condition and is expected to undergo surgery this afternoon.

The driver of the Toyota Aurion, a 29-year-old woman, stopped after the crash and has spoken with police.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating the events leading up to the crash and appeal to anyone who might have dash camera or security camera footage and is yet to speak with police to contact them.
