Moulamein Lake Reserve Enhancements

Murray River Council

Works have been continuing at Lake Moulamein over the past few months with enhancements taking shape around the shared spaces within the reserve.

We’ve finished works on the new concrete footpaths and have completed the concreting of 3 shelters. Solar lighting and furniture has been installed around the lake and the shelters now have new picnic tables. The southern shelter has also been fitted with a new electric BBQ and there’s a new water station on site too.

We expect the new post and rail fencing to be installed prior to Easter with the contractor on site over this next week. Our outdoor team will also install new bin holders in all the shelters.

Once the weather cools off, we will also be planting new established trees for increased shade and installing an irrigation system to the main area of the reserve.

Well done to our local parks crew on coordinating the works and thanks to the community for your patience whilst we’ve been getting things done!

These works are thanks to funding under Round 5 of the NSW’s Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
