Mount Clarence scrub fire

Albany Detectives are investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding a scrub fire in Mount Clarence on Wednesday, 6 March 2019.

About 11.00am, Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the fire in bushland near Wagon Rock, off Serpentine East Road.

Detectives would like to speak to the driver of a silver/white Toyota Tarago that was seen on Adelaide Place, Mount Clarence around the time of the fire, as the driver may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Detectives are urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles or who has any dash cam footage of the area around the time of the fire, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the apprehension and subsequent conviction of an arsonist.
