Nunawading Highway Patrol officers detected and intercepted a speeding vehicle in Mount Waverley last night.
A Nissan 350Z coupe was detected by laser travelling at 131km/h along a 60km/h of Stephensons Road as it overtook another vehicle.
The coupe was intercepted and police spoke to a 22-year-old man from Malvern.
He was arrested and interviewed for dangerous conduct.
The car was impounded with $932 towing costs and the man has been released pending summons for dangerous conduct, speed dangerous and exceed speed limit..
