Multiple arrests for drug and firearm offences

Two men have appeared in court today on serious drug charges.

On the 14 and 15 June, Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch attended several address in the northern suburbs.

It will be alleged that officers located a large quantity of illicit drugs including 4300 ecstasy pills, 3 litres of fantasy, 80 grams of cocaine, 200 grams of cannabis, two firearms and a pill press.

A 20-year-old man from Elizabeth Vale was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking a large commercial quantity of controlled drug, nine counts of trafficking a controlled drug, possession of a firearm and theft.

He was refused police bail and appeared before the Adelaide Magistrates Court today Thursday 15 June.

A 22-year-old man from Angle Vale has been charged with six counts of trafficking a controlled drug and possessing a prescribed firearm. He has been refused police bail and appeared before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

A 57- year-old man from Point Pearce and a 21-year-old woman from Angle Vale, have been charged with trafficking a controlled drug. Both have been granted bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on the 25 of July.

A 19-year-old man from Underdale has been reported for trafficking a controlled drug and will be summoned to attend court at a later date.

Detective Chief Inspector Dave Huddy Acting Officer in Charge of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch said “The trafficking of illicit drugs coupled with the possession of illegal firearms can lead to catastrophic outcomes for those involved and bystanders who happen to be nearby. The Serious and Organised Crime Branch will continue its relentless pursuit of individuals and groups engaging in the illegal manufacture and trafficking of controlled drugs.”
