Multiple burglary and property offence charges, South Brisbane

Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested on more than 80 charges relating to robberies, burglaries and unlawful use of motor vehicles in the Morningside, Hawthorne and Bulimba areas.

On Saturday, officers executed a search warrant at a Thynne Road residence in Morningside following investigations into a located stolen blue Suzuki.

During the search it will be alleged a number of stolen items were seized resulting in the arrest of a 24-year-old man.

Investigators attended Greenridge Street in Wishart yesterday where it will be alleged a stolen Toyota Camry was located.

As a result of inquiries detectives executed a search warrant at a nearby residence in Linfield Street and arrested an 18-year-old man.

He will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning on more than 50 charges including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, enter with intent, enter premises and commit, stealing, receiving tainted property and fail to appear.

A 14-year-old Capalaba boy has also been charged with more than 30 offences including robbery, burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter premises, fraud, driving whist unlicensed and receiving tainted property.

He is expected to appear in the Cleveland Children’s Court today.

A 24-year-old has also been charged with a number of offences and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 27.

Forensic examinations will be carried out on a number of stolen vehicles located as part of investigations.

A number of mobile phones, alleged to have been used to upload footage to social media, have also been seized.

Further charges are likely.
