Multiple vehicle accident involving military vehicle at Trangie, NSW

Emergency services are on scene of a multiple vehicle accident on the Mitchell Highway east of Trangie.

About 2pm today (Friday 5 July 2019), emergency services were alerted to a head-on collision between a Hyundai SUV and a 4WD Army vehicle towing a trailer.

Police attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District allege the sedan has crossed to the opposite side of the road before colliding with the 4WD.

The 4WD, containing six occupants, has rolled several times as a result.

The male and female occupants of the SUV were treated on scene for suspected internal injuries and were taken to Dubbo Base Hospital.

Two passengers in the 4WD sustained minor injuries and were conveyed to Dubbo Base Hospital.

NSW Fire & Rescue HAZMAT attended the scene to contain spill from a vehicle.

Traffic control is expected to remain in place until around 6pm.
