We are calling on local creatives to submit a piece of artwork for the Euroa Pool Glazed Brick Mural Competition, with entries open until Monday 21st October.
The competition is being conducted by Euroa Action Group, with the support of a community grant from Strathbogie Shire Council, to bring some colour and life to the Euroa Pool.
The winner of the competition will have their design on permanent display, tiled with glazed bricks from Euroa Clay Products on the pump house wall at the Euroa Swimming Pool.
Euroa Action Group member, Melinda Watson said she hopes this will be the first of many glazed brick art features in Euroa.
“The mural competition is something I have wanted to do for a while to bring some life and colour to a boring, outdated wall at our pool and give our local community ownership of the project,” Mrs Watson explained.
“The glazed bricks are a really great and colourful medium that we can make into a fantastic feature.”
The mural promises to be a wonderful feature, with Euroa Clay Products producing glazed bricks in 72 different colours, creating fantastic glazed brick features on a variety of buildings across Australia.
