Homicide Squad officers have charged a 40 year old Carnarvon man over the death of his 18 year old daughter Teagan Jade FERGUSON.
On Saturday 12 March 2005, the then two year old victim was seriously assaulted by the man causing Grievous Bodily Harm injuries.
The assault caused the victim to sustain a traumatic brain injury and develop numerous chronic health conditions which directly impacted on her quality of life.
The victim had been in palliative care since 2015, and died in Perth Children’s Hospital on 1 June 2020.
It will be alleged that the injuries received during the assault eventually led to her death.
The man has been charged with Murder and first appeared in the Carnarvon Magistrates Court on 23 November 2021. He will next appear in the Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on 19 January 2022.
