Murray Bridge man charged with murder, South Australia

A fourth person has been arrested today in connection with the murder of a man at Para Vista in October.

The man, 31, from Murray Bridge, was arrested by detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Branch this afternoon at a Murray Bridge address.

He will be charged with murder and, after being refused police bail, is expected to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court tomorrow.

He is the third man to be charged with murder in connection with the matter, while a woman has also been charged with assisting a murder offender.

Police allege a 46-year-old man was killed at a property on Carousel Street, Para Vista between midnight and 1am on Tuesday 9 October, with his body discovered when police went to the address on Friday, 12 October.

It will be alleged that a cannabis crop was stolen from the address, and was later seen being transferred from the victim’s car into a white commodore and another dark coloured car.

The investigation, which has including property searches and interviews both in South Australia and interstate, is continuing.
