Muswellbrook Hospital Redevelopment reaches another milestone

NSW Gov

The Muswellbrook community is one step closer to benefiting from a new Community Health space at Muswellbrook Hospital, with construction now complete.

The new space is being delivered as part of the NSW Government’s $45 million Muswellbrook Redevelopment Stage 3, which will provide modern and contemporary areas to support the healthcare needs of the community.

The space will provide a wide range of services, including nursing care, child and family health care, and allied health services, all tailored to individual needs.

Located within Muswellbrook Hospital, the new Community Health space features contemporary consultation and treatment spaces, improving access to services and strengthening referral pathways to other hospital services for patients and staff.

In the coming weeks, Community Health services will relocate from the Wiedmann Wing at the existing site to the new area. Services will continue to operate throughout the move to ensure patients continue to receive the care they need.

The milestone builds on the recent completion of the new operating theatres suite, delivered as part of the redevelopment which opened in early 2026. Construction of a new sterilisation department is expected to commence in 2027.
