The National Disability Data Asset Council has released its first Annual Report to Disability Ministers. The report covers 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.
The National Disability Data Asset is a key part of Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021-2031. Better disability data helps us understand how government policies, services, payments and programs work for people with disability.
The report outlines progress in 2024-25, including:
- an inclusive research guide for using government administrative data (information collected through programs and services)
- a new website and logo
- the first set of disability flags (data markers that help identify disability in datasets)
- improved reporting against the Australia’s Disability Strategy Outcomes Framework (how we track progress on outcomes)
