Media are invited to attend today’s National Police Remembrance Day service at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Toowoomba. Acting Superintendent Kelly Hanlen will be available to speak to media prior to the service commencing at 10am.

This year will mark the 37th anniversary of National Police Remembrance Day since it was established in Australia in 1989. This year will also mark the 20th anniversary of the dedication of the National Police Memorial in Canberra.
The annual day provides an opportunity to remember police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, while recognising the service, dedication and sacrifice of police officers past and present.
