NDS WA State Manger Julie Waylen has been appointed to the Access and Inclusion Reference Group for METRONET.

METRONET is responsible for managing extensions to Perth’s transport network with approximately 72 kilometres of new passenger rail. It will provide advice into planning, design and usability of new METRONET stations and precincts. NDS WA State Manager, Julie Waylen says, “This reference group is crucial to ensuring access and inclusion recommendations are included in the planning phase of new stations and surrounding precincts. Full and effective participation and inclusion in society for people with disability is vital to building connected communities.”The group will assist in educating community members with disability on how to access and navigate stations and precincts and also help to identify possible opportunities for new technologies. The group will meet as required, with minutes uploaded onto the METRONET website.
