NDS welcomes incoming CEO of National Disability Insurance Agency

Acting CEO of National Disability Services (NDS), David Moody, today welcomed the appointment of a new CEO for the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Mr Martin Hoffman will commence a three year term with the Agency on 4 November.

“As the sector’s peak representative body for disability service providers, NDS welcomes Mr Hoffman’s appointment,” Mr Moody said.

In announcing Mr Hoffman’s appointment, the Commonwealth Government noted its commitment to resolving issues and introducing a Participant Service Guarantee, together with additional Public Service positions to support NDIS operations.

“The challenges ahead for the Agency and the Scheme are well known and have been publicly articulated by NDS for a number of years now.

“Of primary concern to providers are the issues around pricing and payment delays, and workforce planning and growth necessary so that NDIS participants can be assured of access to quality supports without unnecessary bureaucracy and red tape.

“We look forward to working with Mr Hoffman and his team to make sure the NDIS is the working as intended,” Mr Moody said.

“In light of today’s announcement, I want to also acknowledge the hard work and leadership of the former Acting CEO of the Agency, Ms Vicki Rundle, during a time of change for the NDIA.”
