Neighbour arrested over break-in, South Australia

A man was arrested yesterday after allegedly breaking into a neighbour’s home at Port Lincoln over Christmas.

It will be alleged the man gained entry to his neighbour’s home on Monday 24 December, while the victim was away, and stole items including cigarettes and confectionery.

The theft was discovered when the victim returned home and viewed CCTV vision of the incident.

The 49-year-old Port Lincoln man was arrested on Wednesday 26 December and charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. He was bailed to appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court on 22 January.
