The Crisafulli Government has announced board appointments for Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC), Seqwater and four Government Owned Corporations.
They will work alongside other board members to support our government businesses in delivering the best services and value for Queenslanders.
Appointments include:
- QTC Capital Markets Board: Leonard Stone – Member
- State Investment Advisory Board: Wendy Tancred – Member (reappointment)
- CleanCo: Ben Gouldson – Director
- Powerlink: Dr Vu Tran – Director
- QIC: Gillian Brown – Director (reappointment)
- QIC: Justine Hickey – Director (reappointment)
- Sunwater: Gail Jukes – Director (reappointment)
- Seqwater: John McEvoy – Member and Chair (reappointment)
- Seqwater: Rupert Haywood – Member
Acting Treasurer and Minister for Energy Deb Frecklington said all appointees were selected for their diverse skills and experience.
“These appointees bring a wealth of experience across law, finance, funds management, infrastructure and technology,” Acting Treasurer Frecklington said.
“I sincerely thank outgoing board members for their service.”
Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates welcomed the appointments and acknowledged outgoing members for their service.
“Queensland’s Government Owned Corporations provide essential services, critical infrastructure and support economic growth and opportunities across the State,” Minister Bates said.
“It is essential that these businesses are led by directors with appropriate skills and expertise to deliver for Queenslanders.”
Minister for Local Government and Water Ann Leahy said all board members had the opportunity to shape the future of Queensland.
“Seqwater’s role in Queensland’s long-term water security is essential to supporting growing communities, a strong economy and a resilient Queensland,” Minister Leahy said.
“We look forward to working closely with all boards as we deliver a forward plan for Queensland’s most critical resources.”
