New Australia-UK partnership to support workforce skills needs

A new RMIT partnership with the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce will see the University’s game-changing online education model support urgent workforce reskilling and upskilling needs in the UK.

The collaboration delivers a range of RMIT Online courses for professionals in the UK on in-demand topics including sustainability and social impact strategy, design thinking for innovation as well as business analytics.

The learning portfolio responds to needs specific to the UK workforce, as highlighted in the recently published World Economic Forum’s The Future of Jobs Report 2023.

The report shows that global trends, such as the application of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards; the green transition in business; increasing digital access and the adoption of new and frontier technologies, are expected to have an impact on job creation in the UK.

Accordingly, skills prioritised by businesses in the UK over the next five years include analytical thinking; creative thinking; resilience, flexibility and agility; AI and big data; as well as leadership and social influence.

RMIT’s credentialled online courses on offer through the chamber aim to deliver the latest tools, techniques and skills to address these skills needs through a highly relevant online learning experience and access to industry mentors.
