The Australian Government has appointed Ms Siobhan McKenna as Chair of the Australia Post Board for a term of three years.
Ms McKenna brings valuable commercial, strategy, digital and technology, and government relations experience from her extensive work in the media, communications, and telecommunications industries.
Ms McKenna is currently Chair at Foxtel Australia Pty Ltd, an Independent Non-Executive Director of Amcil Limited, and a Managing Partner at Illyria Pty Ltd. She has served on several company boards including Woolworths Group Limited and Nova Entertainment, and has experience as the Commissioner of the Australian Productivity Commission, Chair of NBN Co Limited, and a partner of McKinsey & Company.
Ms McKenna’s knowledge and experience will provide valuable leadership to support Australia Post’s future strategy as it modernises and adapts its business to shifting demand driven by the ongoing digitalisation of the economy and a growing eCommerce sector.
Ms McKenna’s appointment commences on 15 December 2022.
Ms McKenna replaces Mr Lucio Di Bartolomeo as Chair, who stepped down at the conclusion of his term on 21 November 2022, and Ms Andrea Staines OAM, who acted as Chair in the interim.
