Bayside Council is inviting clothing bin operators to submit an Expression of Interest to place or retain clothing bins on Council-owned land under Council’s new Clothing Bin Policy.
The EOI process will open on Thursday 1 October 2026 and close on Monday 30 November 2026.
The new policy has been adopted to improve the management, maintenance and transparency of clothing bins located on Council-owned land across Bayside. It introduces an EOI process for approved clothing-bin locations and establishes requirements for operators.
All existing and prospective operators seeking to place or retain clothing bins on Council land must submit an EOI application and meet the requirements of the Clothing Bin Policy and Service Agreement.
Applications will be assessed in December 2026, with Service Agreements issued to successful applicants in January 2027. New permits will commence in February 2027.
Successful operators will only be permitted to place or retain clothing bins at Council approved locations. Operators who do not apply, or whose application is unsuccessful, will be required to remove their clothing bins from Council land.
