BBQ facilities, a new picnic shelter and drinking fountains will help enhance the park.
Following community interest to install an all weathered structure at the park, a report was presented at the Ordinary Council Meeting 18 August 2020 to improve amenities for the local community at Landcox Park in Brighton East.
Due to the parks popularity with local residents and visitors alike, Council has resolved to build a new picnic shelter and BBQ facilities to help enhance the visitor experience at the park. These upgrades are supported by the Bayside Open Space Strategy (BOSS) 2012 due to its size and the diverse range of activities the park caters for.
The new shelter will be positioned adjacent to the existing playground area and will be incorporated into the new playground upgrade landscape and design – which is currently in progress.
