New changerooms for the Queanbeyan Kangaroos Rugby League Club are now open at Freebody Oval, thanks to joint funding from the Albanese and Minns governments and Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.
These major upgraded facilities will support the growing number of female rugby league players in the region.
The new building includes two main change rooms with a built-in operable wall to allow for four smaller change rooms.
Each change room has a designated strapping area, three showers and two toilets.
Contractors have finished structural works, including excavation, concrete foundations, and the installation of roof ridge caps.
The $3.1 million project has been funded by $1 million from the Australian Government, $1.8 million from the New South Wales Government and $259,923 from Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council.
