Labor is backing Victorian artists and creative workers, with more than $2.9 million in new grants.
117 projects across music, design, arts and performance are coming to life, backed by the Creative Projects Fund.
The fund helps creatives and small organisations develop new works, reach new audiences and bring innovative projects to life.
The latest round of funding will support more than 2,000 jobs for Victorian artists and creative workers.
A record 43 per cent of recipients are based in regional and outer metropolitan Victoria.
Funded projects include:
- Handle with Care – a new work by inclusive physical theatre ensemble (It’s No) Drama
- Ocker – a free roving street performance, touring statewide with Na Djinang Circus
- On&On Festival 2027 – a multi-day celebration of street dance by Cypher Culture
- Out Hear – a disability-led sound and music workshop and performance series
- Cinespace Writers Room Stage 2 – a professional development program for emerging creatives
- Sugarbush Open Air – a First Nations-led festival
- The Youth Junction’s eight-week photography and storytelling program for young people
- Jennifer Tran’s immersive arts experience for preschool children in regional Victoria.
The program delivers on Labor’s Creative State 2028 commitment to grow the creative industries in regional areas.
Victorians can’t trust the Liberal-One Nation Coalition to back our artists. Their $40 billion cuts plan puts creative jobs at risk.

As stated by Minister for Creative Industries Vicki Ward
“This funding turns great ideas into live performances, festivals and exhibitions for Victorian audiences.”
“Artists and creatives are the heart of our creative industries – and with a record number of regional and outer metropolitan recipients, we’re backing them right across our creative state.”
