It’s why we’re delivering more homes to help families access safe, secure and affordable housing sooner.
Four new major housing projects are underway in Shepparton, all made possible through Labor’s investment.
The first project will deliver 24 new two-bedroom homes for Shepparton residents aged 45 and over.
The homes will include enhanced accessibility to support independent living, plenty of natural light and private outdoor areas overlooking landscaped gardens.
The second project will deliver 15 new homes along with on-site support and case management for people who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping.
The third project will provide a supportive home for young people experiencing disadvantage.
It will include three two-bedroom units for up to six young people, as well as a communal kitchen, dining and lounge area, and shared laundry facilities.
This will provide young people with the support, skills and opportunities they need for independent living.
The fourth project will deliver five homes to provide transitional housing for up to 15 young people and young families experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
Labor’s $6.3 billion Big Housing Build and Regional Housing Fund is delivering more than 13,300 social and affordable homes across Victoria, with more than 12,800 homes already complete or underway.
Across Shepparton Labor has invested $170 million in social housing, supporting the construction of 421 new homes, with 266 already completed.
